The Dune: Awakening team kicked off a new community event today. Called Secrets of the Water Shippers, this limited-time challenge ties directly into the Update 1.4 release. Players across Arrakis need to run specific content together to hit global milestones and unlock rewards for everyone.
Event Details and Timeline
The challenge runs from May 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM CEST to June 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM CEST. That gives you a full ten days to contribute. There’s also a Boosted Progression Weekend planned from May 29 to June 1, which will activate once the event enters its final phase.
Here’s what you’ll get during the boost:
- +100% Specialization XP
- +50% General Character XP
The team will also top off every player’s Mnemonic Recollections to the max cap of 35 at the start, so spend any you’ve saved before maintenance.
Community Milestones and Rewards
The challenge has two clear goals for the community to work toward together:
- Milestone 1: 100,000 The Old Quarry Testing Station dungeon completions
- Milestone 2: 100,000 Wind Pass Landsraad Missions completions
Hitting Milestone 1 unlocks the Vivisectionist’s Bone Saw — a grim tool that reportedly keeps its edge through bone after bone. Milestone 2 rewards everyone with the Asteroid Harvester Maula Pistol, a practical sidearm used by the Yafeng Water Shipper family’s guards.
The devs aren’t showing all their cards yet. They teased that a Stretch Goal reward waits if both milestones get passed, and they’ll track progress through the official Discord. Each player in a party counts as one point toward the totals.
