Funcom dropped a Dune: Awakening hotfix on May 26, 2026. Version 1.4.0.2 requires a client-side download, and the team warns you might need to restart Steam if it doesn’t pop up automatically. Servers went back up shortly after the patch landed.
Features and Changes
The only UI tweak this time? A clarification. The “Before You Leave” character transfer warning now explicitly mentions both vehicle backup and vehicle disassembly and storage. That’s it — no new features, just a clearer heads-up before you move your character.
Fixes Across the Board
This hotfix tackles a bunch of issues. Here’s the full list:
- Character transfers — Fixed several errors that could cause transfers to fail entirely.
- Client crashes — Two fixes here: one tied to building pieces or reconstructed base placement under specific circumstances, another when interacting with UI dropdown elements using a controller.
- Building — The Water Shippers Arch piece now snaps correctly to other pieces.
- Combat — Characters hit by two or more attractor fields now properly take damage.
- Graphics — Deep Desert sandstorms no longer show up as yellow on the map.
For known issues, Funcom points players to their Discord server or Steam discussion boards. They didn’t list any widespread problems in the patch notes themselves, just these fixes.
