The June 10, 2026 hotfix for Dune: Awakening brings a client-side download, new anniversary goodies, and some much-needed work on self-hosted servers. If the download doesn’t show up automatically, you’ll want to restart your Steam client. Servers are coming back up soon after the patch.

Anniversary Rewards

To celebrate the first anniversary, the team dropped a few cosmetic items into the game. You can grab these if you’re playing during the event:

  • ‘Contemplation Tea House’ decoration set for your base
  • ‘Master Operative of the Dunes’ light armor — a fresh look for getting around Arrakis

There’s also a new main menu notification that points players toward the anniversary event info. Pretty straightforward.

Self-Hosted Server Changes

This patch makes some serious tweaks for folks running their own servers. The big one? You can now change static IP or DHCP settings after initial setup. Before, that was locked in.

A few other server-side fixes worth knowing:

  • Start/Stop battlegroup operations now poll properly — stop waits until everything’s fully shut down, start waits until all services are live
  • Fixed a bug where DHCP would overwrite a static IP on a VM, breaking connections
  • You can now set the IP the battlegroup advertises to players after setup, not just during setup
  • If you pick a public IP option, it auto-refreshes across battlegroup restarts
  • The battlegroup edit menu now has director options, so you can tweak things like “Minimum Servers” per map, and those settings survive restarts

Bug Fixes

Two solid fixes in here. First, in-game event notifications now show the correct local time zone for each player. Second, those notifications won’t fire off every time you change maps or log in anymore — that was driving people nuts, probably.

The official Discord and Steam discussion boards are where you’ll find the full known issues list.
