One year after opening the gates of Arrakis to PC players, Funcom is throwing a birthday party. The Dune: Awakening anniversary event runs from June 10th to July 10th, 2026, offering free cosmetic rewards, double progression weekends, and community fun. The studio thanked the player base directly, saying:

“Thank you for the energy and the passion, we’ve enjoyed the cool bases, the unofficial arenas and races, even the time Ben forgot to power his base.”

A Month of Rewards and Progression

Each week introduces new items from the Contemplation Tea House collection — a themed set for player housing. All rewards stack over the month, so you can collect everything. Here’s the weekly breakdown:

  • Week 1: Counter set pieces and the Master Operative of the Dunes light armor variant
  • Week 2: Tea house seating, including a sofa and chair
  • Week 3: Table and tea set furnishings
  • Week 4: Final decorative elements, like a mural and baliset

Boosted Progression Weekends

Four separate double-reward weekends let you catch up or push ahead. Each runs Friday through Monday morning:

  • June 12–15: Double Faction Reputation
  • June 19–22: Double House Scrip rewards
  • June 26–29: Double Specialization XP
  • July 3–6: Double Landsraad Dungeon loot

Funcom is topping everyone’s mnemonic recollections to 35 at the start for the Scrip, Faction, and Specialization XP boosts.

Good Timing for New Players

The event overlaps with the Steam Summer Sale (June 25th–July 9th) , where the game gets 40% off. Funcom also recently made PvP fully optional, added self-hosting, and announced an upcoming console launch plus a new single-player mode.
