On April 21, 2026, RuneScape: Dragonwilds rolled out update 0.11.1, bringing fishing, a batch of new quests, and a few quality-of-life additions. The patch drops just a few weeks after the Dowdun Reach launch and marks the game’s 1-year anniversary.
Cast a Line
Fishing is live with 12 fish types to catch. To get started, you’ll craft a fishing net (requires coarse thread, made from Flax and a Spinning wheel), then chat with the Wise Old Man in Bramblemead Village. Hit Fishing level 3 to unlock your first rod.
The skill launches with three new spells:
- Fishing Frenzy — spawns a node with significantly more fish.
- Infernal Rod — cooks your catches on contact using fiery anima.
- Fishnado — hurls fish directly into your backpack.
You can cook fish for storage, craft Pristine Fish into decorative Fishing Trophies for your wall, and unlock the Fishing Skill Cape at level 99.
Three New Quests
The update adds quests channeling that classic RuneScape feel:
“We’ve added a selection of new quests that channel the classic RuneScape feeling that you’ve been asking for”
- Cook’s Assistant — Help the goblin Slopfinger bake a cake. Reward: a Victoria Sponge Cake recipe that reduces fatigue drain for five minutes.
- Animal Magnetism — Help the goblin Manktongue build an “Arrow Grabba” that collects arrows you’ve fired around you.
- A Room With Garou — Assist the blind Elder Garou in building a quiet home.
That’s a direct line back to the old-school vibe, complete with goblins and fetch quests.
