The RuneScape: Dragonwilds monthly update, version 0.11.2, arrives Tuesday 19th May, and it’s bringing a new quest, big changes to Runecrafting, and a free Community Cape. Developer Ashenfall says they’re happy with the community feedback on the Runecrafting proposal, so those changes are shipping now.
A Melody Remembered
There’s a new quest called “A Melody Remembered”. You’ll find a mysterious jewelry box on an abandoned desk in the Stormtouched Highlands, with a riddle on the lid and a strange recess. Complete it to earn a new piece of equipment.
Keep an eye out for Statues of Saradomin scattered around the world — tracking down their clues gets you a reward that shows your loyalty and faith.

- Base conversion ratio drops from 1:10 to 1:5. High Attunement difficulty still lets you get 1:10.
- Anima vents now produce 1:10 output. Concentrated Anima Vents give even bigger bonuses. Standard vents go from 40 to 100 runes; concentrated vents go from 80 to 300 runes.
- Auto Crafting gives the 5:1 ratio at 25% base XP, or 10:1 if you have the relevant skill perk (like level 23 for Air Runes).
- Rune Essence respawn time and resource yield scale with more players: 20% more resources with 5 players, reduced respawn with 6.
Teleport Costs Halved
They cut teleport costs by half on average. Combine that with earlier access to Law Runes, and moving from Bramblemead Valley to somewhere more ambitious is much less punishing. Carry weight also affects the calculation less. Traveling from the top of Fellhollow back to the Saradomin Temple lodestone now costs just 58 Law Runes — even if you’re several times over the carry limit.
Attunement Visuals and Balance
Attunement gets a numerical indicator showing the exact rune count, ticking down as cracks appear. Rewards are 33/66/100% bonus runes depending on difficulty, and bonus
