The folks at RuneScape: Dragonwilds laid out their updated roadmap on May 15, 2026, and there’s a lot shifting around. The big news? Agility is moving forward to July, while Prayer gets pushed back to a Winter Update in December.
What’s coming and when
First up is Umbral Sands, launching in late June. This Major Update brings the biggest region in Ashenfall yet, along with a new tier of material progression — that means Adamant Armour, Infinity Robes, and Red Dragonhide. You’ll help Icthlarin root out corruption, ride a Magic Carpet, and face the Kalphites. Two new combat challenges arrive too: the Nightmare Crucible, a high-difficulty fight against the toughest enemies around, and the Fire Caves, a wave-based showdown ending with Fuzan. Yes, there’s a cape.
Then July brings Agility. The team heard feedback about jumping feeling “off,” so they’re reworking vertical jump height, in-air control, and overall feel. Instead of a simple hotfix, they’re bundling those changes into a full skill release.
“Our aim with agility is to deliver on your expectations of a skill - Abilities, Skill Spells, Stat Upgrades and bonus unlocks that change how you engage with the world around you.”
They’re focused on traversal challenges — courses that test your movement and reward XP — rather than just shortcuts for now.
Fall and winter plans
In September, the Scorned Wilderness drops, and it’s hitting more platforms. December wraps the year with Prayer alongside a new update currently codenamed Luminance. Minor updates in between will keep adding quests, rewards, and content every month.
That’s a lot of moving parts, but the timeline feels more concrete than before.
