On June 8, 2026, Solarpunk officially launched on Steam. The development team, mainly two people over the last four years, described the process as wild, exhausting, beautiful, and sometimes terrifying. “Writing this still feels unreal,” they said in the announcement.

Solarpunk is a cozy survival craft game. You build, farm, explore floating islands, use renewable energy, automate parts of your island life, and decorate your home. There’s no combat, PvP, or base attacks. The world is handcrafted, not randomly generated, and the main progression takes about 20 hours. After that, the game shifts focus to your home base, decoration, and personal sandbox goals.

The team emphasized what the game is not. It has no story campaign, no competitive multiplayer, and no endless world exploration. It only has two biomes and a limited set of islands. But for players who want a relaxed experience with farming, crafting, and slow progression, there’s plenty to do alone or with a small group.

The announcement also thanked the community for support, feedback, and wishlists that helped make the release possible. Solarpunk is now available on Steam for those looking for a peaceful survival game without pressure.
