The team behind Solarpunk dropped a progress update on June 12, 2026, focusing on squashing bugs and smoothing out early game progression. They’re still working on a proper roadmap, but for now, the priority is fixing stuff that breaks your session.

Fixes and Balancing Changes

This week’s patch tackles a bunch of problems players have been yelling about. Here’s what they fixed:

  • Added input prompts for changing rotation and height when building
  • Fixed a backpack bug that wrecked inventory for multiplayer clients
  • Added a repair function for inventories corrupted by the backpack issue
  • Fixed the Electronics Research Table UI not showing researched items after reopening
  • Corrected the merchant map marker position in the Airship Dock
  • Fixed the radial menu being inverted when Y-axis inversion was on
  • Fixed crop plots reappearing or duplicating after reloading a save
  • Fixed the dough recipe not unlocking after picking up wheat
  • Fixed players falling through the Airship
  • Improved Airship collisions and death detection

They also tweaked balance. The first melon and wheat plants now give 2 seeds instead of 1, and cotton grows 25% faster — both aimed at easing early game progression. Save files got a naming convention update too, with support for language-specific characters and whitespace. They added a migration system for saves made before version 1.0.3.

Console Players and the Road Ahead

Xbox and PlayStation players will get this update after platform verification. Nintendo Switch 2 users will wait longer — no specific timeline there.

“We are here. We read your reviews, your posts, and your bug reports. Really. Our brains are burning right now, and the team is giving everything.”

The team says they still have 16 open ‘A’ bugs that can noticeably affect gameplay. They’re not claiming victory yet, just promising to keep pushing fixes.
