The SpaceCraft team released a Solo Offline Mode on June 26, 2026, just two weeks after the game launched in Early Access. The feature came directly from player feedback, which the developers say was the most requested addition since launch.
“This addition reflects our continued commitment to prioritizing community feedback and addressing the wishes and concerns you’ve shared with us.”
What Changes in Solo Mode
To make the offline experience work, the team removed several online-only features. You won’t find these in Solo Offline Mode:
- Nexus Trading
- Corporation Rankings
- Other multiplayer-connected systems
The mode focuses purely on building, exploring, and progressing alone. No other players, no competition — just you and the galaxy.
Adjusted Gameplay for Solo Play
Since Solo Offline Mode isn’t a persistent online world, the devs tweaked some systems to keep progression feeling right. Here’s what changed:
- Crafting time for Assemblers in space bases got reduced
- Extractor speed in space bases increased
- Production facilities pause when you exit the game
- Production resumes when you return to your save
Separate Progression
Your progress in Solo Offline Mode stays completely separate from multiplayer. A save in one mode won’t carry over to the other. That means you’ll need to choose which galaxy you want to build in — or play both, just don’t expect your stuff to follow you.
To switch, go to Options → Change Region → Offline Mode.
The developers say this is just one step in a longer journey shaped by community feedback. They’re keeping the Known Issues Hub page updated for anyone tracking bugs or problems.
