The StarRupture team dropped Hotfix 0.2.3 on May 4, 2026, to clean up issues from Update 1. It’s a chunky patch tackling stability glitches, co-op problems, and environmental weirdness.
Building and Construction Fixes
A lot of the hotfix focuses on structures behaving properly. Platforms placed on Supported Platforms now keep their stability without messing up nearby builds. Foundation Platforms properly spawn under buildings on placement now.
There’s also a fix for players getting stuck inside a Habitat’s floor when standing in an Airlock during deconstruction. Viewports no longer linger in the world after you tear down the Habitat. The devs improved Rails and Ziplines placement logic too — they won’t look disconnected anymore. Deconstructing a primary support won’t leave dependent platforms floating in mid-air.
Combat and Co-op Adjustments
- Fixed an incorrect VFX when shooting a rolled-up Vulpir
- Vulpir’s eggs now spawn correctly for co-op clients
- Enemies track the player better after a pathfinding fix
- Large Personal Storage unlock requirements count properly for clients in co-op sessions
- Medtool’s glass FX renders correctly for co-op players
Environment and Misc
The infection no longer persists after loading a save file made when destroying the last cyst during a Fire Wave. Gatherables now show interaction prompts and spawn correctly after a Fire Wave. The Corrosion cloud around Sulfur Extractors looks right after reloading.
The devs also fixed debug strings showing up in chat log after reloading, and the planet’s regeneration music now responds to audio settings sliders. They improved Grubblers spawning logic and fixed Helium-3 mesh color on Rail Drones. Corporate Terminal rewards now let you unlock the Standard Ammo recipe alongside the Turret recipe.
The team is still reading feedback and working on more fixes and content for the Early Access.
