starrupture

The team behind StarRupture rolled out Hotfix 0.2.4 on May 6, 2026, addressing the two most frequent crashes players reported.

Two crash fixes

Both bugs hit during co-op sessions. The patch directly targets what the Crash Reporter showed as the top issues.

  • Fixed a potential crash when loading a save file made after a lost Base Attack in co-op.
  • Addressed a crash connected to the UCrProgressionRollbackEvent::Execute error.

That second one is a mouthful, but it’s a specific engine-level bug they tracked down.

What comes next

The devs are clear they’re not done. They’re still reviewing feedback and bug reports from Early Access players.

“We are actively working on fixing existing issues along with introducing new content to enrich your gaming experience.”

They’ve pointed players to the Support Page on Steam for bug reports, troubleshooting guides, and general feedback. If you’ve been hitting that save-file crash after a co-op base wipe, this one’s for you.
